Reveal: Master Bath

Okay friends...it's time! We've been homeowners for 8 months and we are finally doing some major improvements. From day one the only real issue we had with the house was our master bathroom. The cabinets were falling apart, damaged and didn't even have tracks to keep them straight. For some reason our shower stall door was missing, so we had to improvise and use a shower curtain.

The bathroom worked for a while but one day we were sitting down and decided we needed to splurge. After all - this is our home, we deserve a bathroom that we love! And maybe if the bathroom is nice to look at....we'll finally use our amazing bathtub.

My budget was originally $100. How do people stick to this budget when doing a major facelift? Painting supplies alone was atleast $75. Then we needed a new light and hardware. That put us at about $150. And then Danny decided to buy the shower door, that alone set us back $160. And of course I wanted to decorate. Finally I decided we needed to fix the mirror and add a frame. So, our grand total for our awesome new bathroom was $360. Honestly, I'm not mad...because I love the way it turned out!

This wouldn't be a real reveal if we didn't post a 'before' picture, so....here it is:

And this is what you have all been waiting for...the after picture!

We chose an energetic blue for the walls, a dark finish on the vanity and mirror, and the hardware and accessories are silver. All my accessories are "vintage." Meaning I re-purposed from one room to the other! And my flowers? I carried those in Veronica and Pete's wedding!

Our new shower door!
Danny worked so hard on my bathroom. He took my vision and made it into a bathroom that I love! I can't wait to take my first bubble bath in my awesome tub! And, of course, I'm already looking forward to our next room makeover!
