A Year of Gratitude: Dad

A few weeks ago I came across this fabulous idea on Kim's blog The Simplicity of Being Curious. She is sending out 52 cards this year to show thanks, gratitude, and spreading love. I am seriously loving this idea...but 52 people? I'm not sure I know that many people! So, instead of one card a week, I'm going to do one card a month. It's a perfect way to let people know you love, care and are always thinking of them.

This month I sent out my first card, to my Dad. While my parents were down visiting earlier this month, he fixed my toilet. Sure it seems like a little thing....but to me it's huge! No more constantly listening to the "drip, drip, drip" and saving me from fearing my water bill! That one top of everything else I felt that he should be the first recipient.

"....You're like a superhero or something!"
I think these cards are going to be a welcome surprise for people over the course of the year. Maybe even for people who would never expect something in the mail from me. I have a lot to be thankful for and it's about time I start letting people know.
